Video tape to DVD

"Having
stored dozens and dozens of video copies of my old TV travel shows for
something like 15 years, I knew that there was not much life left in
them, with colour and quality fading each year.
I sort of wanted a couple of those shows to pass on to the grandkids,
so how good to come across a company which transfers VHS tapes onto DVD.
Having successfully done the transfer of a couple of the episodes for
me, I realised the huge market that there must be out there, with all
those weddings, family reunions, through to the gallops, events which
have even been shot onto home video cameras.
The company YesVideo, obviously has cottoned onto the fact that there
must be millions of hours of video material which is slowly fading into
oblivion.
I’ve often thought of putting those boxes and boxes of 35mil slides
onto DVD, but that sounds just one heck of a job, far easier it is to
send in a video for transfer. I mention this service because there
would be many racing enthusiasts who have shot training sessions and
actual events, to film or videotape, and then put them away in a
cupboard.
